Lesley Brunnman (LBR)

As Head of the International Section I am responsible for the students and teachers working and studying within this section of the school. That means the students on the Natural Science Programme and the Social Science Programme.

We have three work teams of teachers where we mix Natural and Social Science. We have ENSA and ENSB teams. The teams are made up of the mentors for each of the classes and they work with the students’ situation in school and with projects regarding inter-curricular areas of work.

My own background is that I grew up and studied to become a teacher of Business Studies and Economics at Strathclyde University and then Jordanhill College of Education in Glasgow, Scotland. I have then worked as a teacher in Glasgow, London and in Tyresö. I became a Head Teacher in 2007 and completed the Head Teachers’ programme (Rektorsprogrammet) of study at Stockholm University in 2013.

As a Head Teacher I am particularly interested in where learning takes place and one of my favourite activities is to visit lessons and meet students in their learning situations. I am also interested in developing the Profession of Teaching and hope that we can encourage many young people to join this worthwhile, stimulating and challenging profession.
